Call 828.315.7030Frye Regional Imaging Center is located six miles southeast of Frye Regional Medical Center in Tate Medical Commons. The center is dedicated to providing superior customer service and aims to deliver excellent service built around quality and convenience.
A physician order is required for all procedures performed at the Frye Regional Imaging Center, with the exception of screening mammography.
The center operates extended hours Monday through Friday.

Mammogram Scheduling
To schedule a screening mammogram, please call 828.315.3390,
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm.
You may also call the centralized scheduling department to request an appointment outside of our normal hours of operation.

Certified Breast Care Nurse
Frye Regional Imaging Center's Certified Breast Care Nurse is specially trained in breast health. They are here to guide you if your mammogram has an abnormal result and will provide you with real time results to your diagnostic mammogram. They are also available to answer your questions should you need to have a breast ultrasound or other breast imaging procedure. Frye Regional Imaging Center offers a variety of other outpatient diagnostic imaging services, including:
- Bone Densitometry
- Computed tomography (CT) including CT colonography and CT lung screening
- Digital Mammography including 3D Mammography
- Fluoroscopy
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) including Open MRI. We also provide mobile MRI services to Alexander County.
- Nuclear medicine
- Stereotactic breast biopsy
- Ultrasound including ultrasound guided breast biopsy
- X-Ray
